Playlist Timer ("the App") is developed by Colin Toft. This policy describes how the App handles your information.

Data Storage

All your settings, timer history, and app data are stored locally on your device. The App does not have its own servers and does not transmit your personal data to any server operated by the developer.

Apple Music

If you choose to use the App with Apple Music, the App requests access to your music library through Apple's MediaPlayer framework. This access is used solely to read song, album, artist, and playlist information from your library so the App can build a playlist that fits the duration you choose. Your music library data never leaves your device.

Spotify

If you choose to connect Spotify, the App opens Spotify's official OAuth login in a browser, where you authenticate directly with Spotify. The App never sees or stores your Spotify password.

• Spotify returns an access token to the App, which is stored locally on your device and used to fetch your playlists, songs, and album artwork from Spotify's Web API.
• Playback is handed off to the Spotify app on your device. The App does not transmit playback data to the developer.
• You can disconnect Spotify at any time from the App's settings, which clears the stored access token.

Album Artwork

To display cover art in the App, on the Live Activity, and in widgets, the App may download album artwork over the network from the music service you are using. Downloaded artwork is cached locally on your device and is not shared with any third party.

Live Activity & Widgets

The Live Activity, Dynamic Island, and home screen widgets display the current song and time remaining. This data is shared between the App and its widget extension through a private App Group container on your device, and is not transmitted externally.

Analytics & Tracking

The App does not collect analytics, usage data, or any form of tracking information. The App does not contain any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs and does not use the iOS Advertising Identifier.

Data Collection Summary

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to servers operated by the developer. All data remains on your device, aside from the API requests required to fetch your music from Spotify or Apple Music.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
